The Jamaica Churchs
In the early 60's Bro. RE Dawkins began a work with Bro. Westmorland in the Island of Jamaica. The people of Jamaica grabbed the message of Restoration and have been working with Gospel Tabernacle for many years. Since that time another Church in Jamaica under Bro. Hall came to receive the message and looked to Gospel Tabernacle as their ministry. Since the passing of Bro. Westmorland, Bro. and Sis Leslie have been faithful to the work and to visiting Gospel Tabernacle in Belton many times. Sis. Clark who was a part of the beginning of the work helps take care of the property and keeping the door open for the services. Bro. Hall passed away and now Bro. and Sis Jackson are carrying the work in that assembly. We hope to encourage and help the people of Jamaica as our Brothers and Sisters in the Lord to restore the Gospel of the Kingdom.
Currently the Church building is being completed. The saints have been gathering the basement of the Church for years. However, when the rainy season comes it makes it very difficult to have service with no roof on the building or upstairs. Now they are upstairs and the church is adding in numbers and the Lord is richly blessing the people. Bro John Holness has been such a blessing in helping the building advance and helping the people of the church.
Bro. Ratliff has asked Bro. John Holness to help with the works in Jamaica and Pastor the churches. Bro. Holness is born and raised in Jamaica and has been a big blessing there to the work and the people.
